For a moment, they both smiled.

Then Liam leaned forward.

“I wasn’t informing on you.”

“I know.”

“Walsh approached me about a company payment I received for a building inspection. I gave him what I had. He asked about you. I told him I hadn’t seen you.”

Serena nodded.

“That photograph—”

“Was taken outside the office. They drove me to identify a property.”
